In this case, the paragraph does not convey any feeling from the author,so option A is not quite possible. It does not use any run-on sentences, which are those that are not linked properly or gramatically do not use the correct words to join the ideas  the sentence expresses. It does not use filler words either,as it does not represent a dialogue or a conversation, and finally, although it focuses on a matter which might be important to students, this characteristic does not make this passage an exampleof expository prose, so, the correct answer to this question is B,because it expreses a clearly organized idea, which is that  an application process can be difficult, sipprted by a sentence which aims to explain what the first step for a student should be.

it by far makes the most grammatical sense and is very objective, removing any first person from the original sentence and keeping with the sentence fluency.
