Ineed on my college homework i have for my intergrated reading and writing class i have to read 3 paragraphs and make a thesis and three topic senteces and i dont get it

The thesis is a single sentence that should contain the main topics you use to answer the prompt; a topic sentence is how you introduce that topic before you show evidence. An example of how this should be structured is

Electric cars should be the standard for all cars because it would lower the worlds carbon emissions and lower peoples average spending.  (For a thesis)

Electric cars are a better alternative to gas powered cars because they do not produce any harmful carbon monoxide. (For a topic sentence)
