Ineed with punctuation and gramer it felt like a pit in my stomach as i got dropped into the water funnel. it was my niece birthday and my parents decided it would be a good supersize to bring her to the great wolf lodge. i slept the whole way to the place. i had no idea that we should be going to the great wolf lodge. when we arrived i had no idea where we were. as soon as we entered the door there was a giant poster on the wall that was from the commercial.
little did i know it was gonna be an awesome day. the great wolf loge's water park in january we had just gotten to the door to our hotel room and my dad said” ok is this the right room” and my mom replied “let me check the hotel key” and began searching her pockets to her amusement she forgot the key at the front desk. as i entered the massive stadium-sized room with 3 huge slides and 2 smaller ones than my sister said: “race you.” she took off at like a million miles an hour as she is older than me she was way faster than me. she beat me to the biggest slide. she had beaten me to the line to the slide and oh boy was it a line. we talked about how her life was going on her own and what i was gonna do when on the slide as we hit the crick in the slide and this was when i the water cough me full in the face and burnt my eyes and of course i removed my hand to wipe my face and that was the fatal mistake and then i was from this experience, i have learned to be much more cautious after that i have a little headache on the way back home later on i was fine.

What is the effect of narrator's word choice on the tone of this passage? the words "my heart shrank within itself" create a fearful tone. the words "wounded his fellow" develop a remorseful tone. the words "struck harsh upon my ears" suggest an irritated tone. the words "better-omened" set a hopeful tone. excerpt from "the cabuliwallah" by rabindranath tagore i was sitting in my study, looking through the accounts, when some one entered, saluting respectfully, and stood before me. it was rahmun the cabuliwallah. at first i did not recognise him. he had no bag, nor the long hair, nor the same vigour that he used to have. but he smiled, and i knew him again. "when did you come, rahmun? " i asked him. "last evening," he said, "i was released from jail." the words struck harsh upon my ears. i had never before talked with one who had wounded his fellow, and my heart shrank within itself when i realised this; for i felt that the day would have been better-omened had he not turned up.
