Iam writing an essay on my career choice and i chose photography, i need perfecting my essay, i'm not quite done, but i wanna ensure that i'm on the right path (don't worry about the formatting) (and also im hearting all responses! ) the career i decided to present this year is photography. photographers have made themselves well known as professionals that focus on the art of taking photographs using a digital or film camera. photographers use artificial or natural lighting to snap pictures of various people, places and things in different settings. owning a camera doesn’t make you a photographer any more than making toast makes you a “chef”. so, how do you go from camera owner to a professional photographer. in order to accomplish this ranking, first i need to practice, alot. practicing will me find my style, and different preferences such as lighting, and environment. next, i need to obtain a camera that is fit for me. currently, i use my phone for practice, but in the future i will be working on getting a more “fancier” or professional camera for my photography needs. cameras are vital to communication, education and preservation of history. and without a camera, you cannot be a photographer! next, i need to find feedback. advice from other professionals, or support groups can also me perfect my photography. after that, i will create a portfolio. creating a portfolio is a way you can show people your talent in an efficient way. portfolios can be shared on websites such as “folio websites”, “photoshelter” or “foliolink”. another way you can share your photos are on social networking sites such as instagram, pinterest or tumblr. besides practicing, and perfecting camera skills, i need to also learn how to advertise and sell my art.
