When Selvam decides to work with Kenny, Ruku and Nathan realize that all of their children have deserted the families traditional livelihood. The story reaches Climax when Nathan and Ruku figure out that their land is being sold to the tannery and they have to move to the city and set out to find their son, Murugan.
