An inference is when someone arrives to a conclusion up to something that happen previously assuming it is true or false. For example, when we presume how a movie is gonna end because we watched another with similar plot the day before. The squatter soverignty was a term used by the enemies to refer to the popular soverignty that was the doctrine that the people of the federal territories had to decide if they were free or intervened to choose their policy. The inference in here was that it will keep on like this, I mean the decision up to the inhabitants, until the law changes.
