Ambrose bierce was a journalist. many of his newspapercolumns focused on corruption, fraud, and people bierce didn’t like. bierce had a biting wit, so people did not want to find themselves the subject of one of his columns. however, he also had a very serious side to his writing. in face, bierce was disappointed with the war reporting of his day, so he basically said, “i will do it myself ! ” at the age of 71, he rode alongside pancho villa’s army as it waged revolution across mexico.
