For example, Eminem changed the archetypes of the genre rap/hip hop, and the expectation that he had to look a certain way or act in a specifically "gangster" fashion. His form of individuality is a benefit because it gives us a chance to both express our rights, and to be honest about our background without fear of consequence. The contribution of expression or ideas, as Einstein once said "Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." he was one of the greatest scientists of all time, and was judged simply by his difference. Hopefully this helped in terms of benefits, as for conformity, sameness can help stabilize a community. I mean this in the sense of following law, this can bring a sense of security and familiarity of morals to citizens.
