Social media can affect a teen's educations because it causes distractions in so many different ways. If a teen is on their phone in class they are either texting or checking their social media, they are focused on that instead of what they should be learning. With social media brings bullying, sadly. When a teen is bullied online they are going to be very self-conscious so they are thinking about themselves, thinking about what others think, or wondering if he or she is getting talked about online still, which is a major distraction and can lead to depression which will cause them to stay home instead of learning at school.
