My topic is about whether or not we are to dependent on technology, and it's impacts on society whether good or bad. Is technology good or bad? find out in the essay below. and by the way I did write this myself.

Are we too Dependent on Technology?

There is no doubt that technology invades almost every aspect of our life now. While certain technology is generally considered positive, there is a question of whether we are now overly dependent on technology and could we survive without it? Technology can quickly transform society as we know it, from laziness to a lack of thinking. This essay will be discussing some of the arguments about the technology dependency in our daily lives and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the technological advancements.

Imagine one day without your electronic devices. Some people would be unable to recall their to-do list, do their homework, find where they need to go, and keep up with boredom. In fact, the average teen uses up to 7 hours and 38 minutes a day on electronic devices.

Technology was designed to benefit society, to help us function easier and more efficiently. However, technology development is not driven to maximize all of society’s goals. Technology has gotten to the point where it has taken over our lives. Terms of finding information, doing our tasks, remembering important dates, and doing school assignments. Makes us dependent on mechanics.

There are arguments of whether we are to dependent on technology. Personally I think we kind of all are. So is technology dumbing us down or it benefiting us?

Advantages of Technology

Machines and many other devices are beneficial for many reasons. "Technology can save lives, not just improve them." -Anna Bawden. Technology has saved many lives throughout the world, and has also helped combat a wide variety of dangerous diseases across the globe. Technology has introduced methods of helping the environment; reducing deforestation, providing us with new energy alternatives, and reducing pollution. How? you may ask. Since we live in a digital age the need for paper is now decreased. Now we have solar, wind, and hydroelectricity, it reduces pollution.

Disadvantages

On the other hand, the evolution of modern technology has disadvantages, for example, now that we have the knowledge of A.I. humankind no longer has the need to THINK. Machines have the ability to work without pay, and do things  rather well, which may result in poverty. Some technology has also caused pollution. For example, Beijing, China, is one of the oldest and third largest cities

in the world. China has advanced and used its technology to create plastics and other goods. BUT, their factories and machines create huge amount of "smog" which is devastating for the people and the environment.

Conclusion

There are many mixed feelings about this subject; whether technology is good or bad. Which is why I will let YOU decide. Personally I say we don't really NEED technology we just think we do.

depends on your school

when i was in high school i took ap biology my senior year and it was the hardest one for me because my teacher finished the material within the first month of school and then went on to doing advanced college level it was horrible. but at a nearby school ap biology was one of the easier aps. also, it depends on what you are interested i like math a lot so ap calculus was easier for me than most but i hate history so ap us government was harder for me than most.
