  The firemen beat to see which of the creatures would the Hound seize first. This shows the sadistic nature of the men because they take pleasure for watching the Hound capture and inject narcotics into frightened animals.

  Montag is the only one who does not involve in that entertainment because he fell disgusting of cruelty against animals.
