A: There is nothing surprising about a gallant show. It is banners flying and full throttle ahead. A is incorrect.

B: If their banners are flying, B could only be a bluff to be true. We doubt that very much. Caesar doesn't think so. B is not correct. If you read the previous part of Act V scene I, Octavius and Antony have exchanged comments on what they think. What they think is that, though cowardly, Brutus and Cassius and their armies are not to be trifled with. They will move forward to battle at Philippi which was not expected. Anthony thought they would stick to the high ground which apparently is not so.

C: I don't know how to get rid of C other than to say it isn't so. No army facing a formidable foe becomes distracted.

D: I'm going to pick D, but it is not wholly correct. If it said they wanted to appear courageous, there would be no doubt that this is true. This quotation does not include the sentiments of the beginning part of Act 5 Scene 1 so you have to go by what is here.

This is one of those things where there really is no right answer. D is the closest one, but it is fairly remote from being right. B is your second best the messenger does not convey this information in his report, but don't be  surprised if B turns out to be the answer.

gilgamesh is an epic hero from birth, as he's brought to the world by the hand of several gods who shaped him with the goal of saving humanity. there's a passage from the text that reads "the glorious sun shamash bestowed upon him glory; adad the terrible god of storms bestowed upon him courage. the great gods perfected his magnificence beyond all others, terrible like the great wild bull". this is a great example that show some of the super-human qualities that the gods gave gilgamesh upon his birth.

as gilgamesh grows he has to face many challenges that put his heroism to task. the courage he displays along the way, prove that he's ready to live up to the godly qualities brought upon him. at one point he has to overcome a wild beast by the name of hubamba "whose roar is a flood, whose mouth is fire, whose breath is death", as the text reads. the actions taken by gilgamesh, beating the beast with the use of his super-human force, examplify why he shoud be thought of as an epic hero.
