Samantha liked her job.  She didn't love it.  It was good hours though, and she got to work with kids in the after-school program, which she enjoyed.  

But her boss and some of her coworkers were frustrating, so when she saw an email in her inbox that said, "Dream job now hiring, starting rate $20/hr", Samantha jumped at the opportunity.  Her new job was as a delivery driver.  Samantha loved music, so spending a lot of time in the car seemed like a great chance to spend time listening to her favorite singers.

Once Samantha met her new boss and coworkers, she was sold.  She quit her previous job immediately.  

However, Samantha soon realized the job wasn't all that she thought.   She didn't spend any time with those coworkers, and wasn't even allowed to play music.  Apparently the company had to keep a "good image", and delivery drivers playing pop music wasn't a part of that image.

Samantha also started to struggle with school.  She didn't get home from work some nights until after midnight.  But she kept assuring herself that once she saw her massive paycheck, it would be so worth it.

But much to her dismay, when she saw her paycheck, she realized she wasn't given any money for all the gas she had paid for.  I mean, some of those customers were almost an hour away!

She went to her boss to clarify, and she just laughed, saying how Samantha should've read the employment forms before signing them.  

Samantha came home that night crying, and asking her mom for advice to get her old job back.  Her mom gave her a hug and said, "Samantha, a bird in hand is worth two in the bush".

i decided to stay late in the laboratory to continue my experiment with the lightbulb. at midnight, thomas edison opened the door and saw all the stuff he was working on. the lightbulb, film and the transmitter. as he walks in an idea hits him on how the lightbulb would work. he would have to change a few wires around to get it to light up. when he did change the wires around it worked so he decided to write a telegraph to his friend to tell him about his success.   as he was packing up he grabbed the telegraph and walked to his home. he told his wife about the success and the next morning mailed the telegraph.
