What is the definition for flashback, point of view and character

Flashback is a scene set in time earlier than the main story   and   point of  view  is a particular  attitude  of considering a matter  an  a character is  a is a person in the book or story 

Flashbacks are interruptions that writers do to insert past events in order to provide background or context to the current events of a narrative. By using flashbacks, writers allow their readers to gain insight into a character’s motivation and provide a background to a current conflict. Dream sequences and memories are methods used to present flashbacks.

An inference that can be made is that the princess is bothered about the tiger door. although there are reasons for both this one has a better reason. the princess is not a monster and even if she didn't want to marry this man she wouldn't want him to die. the grudge of death is pretty heavy. unless she has done this before and feels no regret then she wouldn't want to be married to someone of low quality, if he is low quality.
