An example of a way to use ethos is trying to convince your mom to let to stay out past your curfew with friends, you could say something like this to appeal to ethos, thus making yourself more trustworthy

"Last time I went out with friends, I was back before curfew"

"I've never come home past curfew"

"I'll have my phone on me the entire time"

"Ashley's mom will be with us too, you can have her phone number"

These statements would make your mom trust that if she extends your curfew you will be responsible and keep your word of when you'll be back, thus appealing to ethos

sorry i was debating over answering this question or not, but i do believe it is a sin to be gay. in the beginning, god created man and he created women to be a for man. there are many "political" views on this topic but i believe the bible is right. in the kjv bible, leviticus 18: 22, god talks about how it it is an abomination for women to be with women and man to be with man. god knows that everybody is a sinner, and he gives everyone a chance to repent. i'm not forcing god's word on anybody, but i do believe it is a sin. no matter the sin, as long as you repent, god is willing to forgive, you just have to accept him as your lord and savior.
