1.  "will do whatever is necessary to gain equality for all" as there is no mention of this and he just speaks about what he would like to see happen not actually what he will do to achieve this dream.

2. "has given up the idea that one day all people will be treated the same." The speaker is positive and hopeful he even says "Of such I dream, my world!" which shows he hasn't given up the idea of equality and he would like to see his dream become a reality.
