weakness #1: congress could not create taxes. explanation: it’s a problem because if the congress didn’t pay for the government the government would not the congress so it would powerless weakness #2: congress could not raise a national military separate from the states. explanation: it was a problem because in the revolutionary war the general george washington needed money for his solders to get supplies and they couldn’t get the money, so the troops went starving sometimes. weakness #3: congress could not control trade between states and with other nations. explanation: the states only wanted things for themselves. they didn't think of themselves as a part of a whole nation. this then resulted in other countries (nations) trying to have different trade agreements with different states, rather than the whole nation having one trade agreement. parts 3
preamble to the u. s. constitution

"we the people of the united states, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this constitution for the united states of america."

this is how i would rewrite the preamble so that other people can understand it. i hope it increase support for the new constitution.
