While there are certainly benefits of living in the city, there are also amazing things about living in the country as well.

Living in the city means very short drives to local events. You are also in the middle of an active community. However, crime rates are higher in the city. You might have to spend money on security systems and have someone watching your front porch so nobody steals your packages. You will also lack privacy, and are more likely to be living in an apartment building or duplex home.

But in the country, you don’t have to sacrifice privacy. You don’t have to worry about disturbing your neighbors, and you have a lot more freedom to expand your land. However, you will have to get up earlier for work or school, and will likely spend a lot on gas. If you own land out in the country, you will also be spending a lot of time and/or money on landscaping and mowing.
