Explanation: I feel like this could be a difficult one but I’ll share my reasons for both. The reason I would say ‘A’:

There is a specific criteria needed in order for a rubric to be graded based on the assignment given. Once the assignment is evaluated based on the criteria of the rubric, it can be graded and afterward reviewed by the student who had the assignment.

The reason I would say ‘C’:

An instructor uses a rubric as a way to determine how the student did on their assignment and what things they can improve upon. Once the instructor knows what the student needs to improve on based on the rubric, the instructor will finally grade the assignment.

In conclusion, I would lean toward ‘A’ since it has the criteria set out and also says “for a specific type of writing” which is true in a rubric and has been used in that way for a very long time.
