Rewrite the paragraph

last year a carnival was experienced by my children and me for the first time. it was a neighborhood school carnival, and many of the the rides and games were enjoyed by the school children. the ferris wheel was ridden by most of the children, creating a lot of screaming and laughter. the dart game was closed after all the balloons were popped. popcorn, hot dogs, and cotton candy were eaten by the children and their families. baskets were awarded in the raffle at the end by the school principal. winning movie tickets was hoped for by our family. next time the school hosts a carnival, i’m sure it will be attended by our family.
