School uniforms are the best way for students to dress during school hours. A lot of bullying revolves around the way individuals dress.  Kids make fun of others because of the way they dress. The bullying also applies peer pressure to spend more money to buy trendier items, such as clothes, shoes, and jewelry. Although they do decrease bullying on the school campus, they could increase bullying from other schools.  The uniforms will decrease the bullying brought upon students because of their religion. This however also denies the right of their freedoms of religion and expression; these freedoms will be protected however. School uniforms could also be hard on families with financial issues. It also adds an expense to families who work for free schooling. Although it costs these families money, the uniforms pay for themselves. This means that if they have the uniforms, their children won’t spend the money on other clothes and accessories. Also parents don’t have to spend as much money on the water bill because they only have to wash one school outfit per child, instead of several. Not only are families saving money on their bills, but their children’s social lives as well. Students will also pay more attention to schoolwork than to fashion. This will increase attendance- students don’t need to spend an hour picking out clothes; and it will also increase grades. From 1991 to 195, school crime rate dropped by 91%; suspension rate dropped by 90 %; sex offenses dropped by 96%; vandalism was dropped by 69%. All because of uniforms.
