From what point of view is the story told?
joan sat hunched over her sewing machine and chewed her lip thoughtfully. she had volunteered to make the costumes for the drama department’s production of much ado about nothing, but she hadn’t realized how much work would be involved. in addition to sewing twenty costumes, she had to study for three tests and her aunt clean the house before potential buyers arrived. joan rubbed her temples and tried to calm down. what’s the worst that can happen? she asked herself. i fail all my tests, my aunt’s house never sells, and the entire drama club performs half-dressed, her sarcastic inner voice answered. joan couldn’t but laugh, and she lowered the presser foot on her sewing machine with renewed energy. "no matter what, i'm not going to give up," she said. joan decided to take an optimistic approach and hope for the best.
