Why would an author choose to tell a story in the first person, third-person limited,
or third-person omniscient point of view?

if you used the first point of view it would describe the main characters thoughts and help to understand them more vividly than third person would focusing on their thoughts  and third person you would understand more people how they think and why they act and understand them in a way you can't in first person

on the other side of the picture, we must learn also to know that guerilla warfare against the germans in, let us say serbia or norway, us; that a successful russian offensive against the germans us; and that british successes on land or sea in any part of the world strengthen our hands.
