This sentence is funny in its context: Smiley's dog is used to winning fights by biting the opponent's back leg, except this time, it finds itself facing a dog which just so happens not to have any back legs. The situation comedy is created by the fact that the odds for Simley's dog to meet a dog without back legs were ridiculously small, and yet it happened. For that reason alone, Smiley's dog doesn't even try to fight anymore, and loses."Smiley said all a frog wanted was education, and he could do almost anything." This is what Smiley said to justify his psending months trying to teach his new frog how to jump on command.
