Chapter 1
Logan, Chase, Micah, and Jacob were all hanging out a Micah’s place. Logan and Chase went to go downstairs to get something to eat when Chase heard a nock at the door. So, Chase went to go answer the door and low and behold Tyler was at the door. Chase let in Tyler and after they grabbed a snack they all went back to Micah’s room. They became really close after a death of their best friend Angel. That night it happened Logan and Angel got into a fight but nobody knew about it, until Logan finally came clean about their fight. Everyone forgave him and understood why. Everyone was super close with Angel’s family that as soon as they heard on the news they called Angel and she answered and the only thing she said was “help me there’s a killer in the h….” then Logan said “Angel can you hear me are you in danger” and then the line went quiet but they stayed on the line and then they heard a scream. Then Tyler said dude’s peace out I got to go my mom said I had to be home at 10 and it is 9:55 so peace out. Everyone said bye to Tyler and after Tyler left they all ran outside to see if there were any police there but there wasn’t anything at their house so before they left Logan called the cops.

Lots of elementary school kids play sports after school. they play soccer, tennis, football, baseball, and even lacrosse. but i think that another great way to spend the afternoon is by playing a non-physical activity: chess. at our school we have a chess club that meets every week to play games and to learn about chess-related issues. chess is a wonderful game for many reasons. chess teaches students to be patient and not rush decisions. chess also teaches students how to strategize their future plans. and finally, chess teaches students the importance and necessity of sacrifice. chess can teach students just as much as any other sport. which sentence could best be added to this paragraph as a supporting detail? a) chess is not as fun as playing a sport outdoors might be. b) my father is very good at chess and plays a game with me every night. c) chess teaches students to think ahead about the consequences of their actions. d) other activities that are as fun as chess are painting, drawing, dancing, and acting.
