Beowulf garnered rewards such as wealth and being made a king for his heroism. He was engrossed in glory and because of his pursuit of glory; he died at the claws of the dragon. Batman doesn’t really care about rewards and he already had wealth and power. He adopts an anonymous person due to his focus on doing good deeds. Although he has saved many, he doesn’t get any glory or personal rewards from his good deeds.
