Comedy: The heroes are a goof ball and a super serious partner who doesn't often laugh. Hero guy is super fast with a comeback or joke, and as they solve the mystery of who started the plague and where the antidote is, the serious one learns how to laugh and the funny one learns how to be serious at serious times.

Drama: Hero is a regular college student who is trying to save the love of his life. His love's father hates the hero, so he has to take care of the sick woman without the father knowing. Someone dies, like hero's mother or dog. (dramatic amirght)

Science fiction film: The hero of the day, ends up having to take down an alien that started the plague. The alien isn't very smart and doesn't know how smart humans are. The hero is a high school Science teacher who is a complete nerd but is super smart and talks a lot about sciencey stuff and how he can develop a cure and vaccine to save the world.
