Write a personal narrative essay that relates thematically to Shirley Jackson’s short story, “The Lottery.” In Jackson’s story, she explores issues related to conformity, so you can use the ideas you developed in assignment #5 to guide your writing. Remember, every piece of writing should have a purpose, so make sure your purpose is clear throughout the essay.
