Why would Myrtle want to talk to them?

Myrtle was run over because she ran into the road. When she saw the car, she thought Tom would be the one driving it. She had seen him earlier that day, driving that very same yellow car, when he had stopped by Myrtle's husband's garage. The most probable reason for her to want to talk to Tom was the fact that her husband had figured out she was having an affair, and he wanted to force her to move away with him. Myrtle was probably trying to ask Tom for help, but was killed by Daisy accidentally.

Myrtle did know who Daisy was. Maybe she had never seen Daisy in person, but she knew of her existence, her name, etc. On the other hand, Daisy knew Tom had a lover, but she did not know the woman's name, or where she lived. Daisy did not run over Myrtle on purpose. She was agitated after a confrontation between Tom and Gatsby, and she was driving too fast to stop. Myrtle's death was an irony of fate, not intentional on Daisy's part.
