So I'm writing an essay on why homework should be optional but I need to write a counterargument for it. What does it mean, give me a few example sentences of a counterargument of homework being optional.

a counter argument is basically arguing the other side of it so you are saying that homework should be optional well the counter argument would be that homework should be enforced. a few examples is: ( You Might not be able to use I or my so don't copy this word for word) My other opinion about this is some homework should be forced because their might not be enough time in class do the assignment therefore the children can finish it at home which is better. I also think that if homework is given ( you have to do it at home) you have more time to think about the assignment so the creativity level would be higher.
