There is a complication on Kim's identity.

He has been so much involved in the culture of India his whole life but he  is an European by birth.

In his interaction with an Indian Friend:

“There was some justification for Kim—he had kicked Lala Dinanath's boy off the trunnions—since the English held the Punjab and Kim was English", we see that he considered the British to be higher than the natives. He displays a personality trait of both British and the Indian.

Partially, due to the kind of life he leads, he feels uncomfortable interacting with Europeans.

"As he reached the years of indiscretion, he learned to avoid missionaries and white men of serious aspect who asked who he was, and what he did. For Kim did nothing with an immense success. . . . [and] missionaries and secretaries of charitable societies could not see the beauty of [what he did]".

Kim has a mistrust for the Europeans thereeby he avoids British men and women who live in India

when speaking or writing for the sole purpose of providing information in order to give audience members a good basis for making a decision, you would present an informative speech or essay.   because you wouldn’t want to be persuading the audience by arguing for one type of exercise over the other, you wouldn’t choose a persuasive/argumentative technique.   to fairly, and without bias, present information about the pros and cons of each type exercise, a compare/contrast, informative speech/essay would be the best bet.
