A time I had fortitude was when I was six years old. I had broken my arm just before the first day of first grade. Even though I had tried to hide it, I was extremely nervous because I never experienced grade school before. From what I had heard, kindergarten was completely different. I was scared that the other kids would make fun of my broken arm, which was very much swollen and had a huge cast around it. However, to my dismay, on the first day of school, my teacher told the class how brave I was to come to school with a cast on. I was very shocked, but more than anything, I was glad.
