To begin with, jellyfish are multiplying by thousands on the daily. Jellyfish can release 40,000 eggs daily. This causes there to be swarms of jellyfish, which can eventually become blooms. In the passage “jellyfish take over” it states “In the Black Sea, blooms of Mnemiopsis jellyfish are responsible for millions of dollars in losses for the local fishery industries who catch and sell anchovies” This means that because there are swarms and blooms of jellyfish all over the world, its causing the local fishers industries to lose money because of all the jellyfish. For example, if you are running a business, and there is something that is keeping you from being able to make money, you will end up losing money because you won't have anything to sell. In the text “jellyfish take over” it states, “Some species of jellyfish can release up to 40,000 eggs daily! It’s no wonder that these swarms could turn into blooms.” to elaborate, that more and more jellyfish are being produced daily, and they are all staying attached to each other and traveling in swarms and becoming blooms that can affect the environment. And not in a good way.
