In terms of politics (although politics pretty much applies to everything else) there is the right-wing news and the left-wing news. Each presents a story that fits their narrative including only the facts that support their opinions; keep in mind it is illegal to report a false story with false facts so news outlets must be careful when reporting the news in order to shed light on what they think is "right". No news source is 100% reliable which is why it is important to read the same story from multiple different sources from both sides in order to get all the facts.
