Write a 3-5 paragraph analysis that explains how individual techniques of satire are used in popular culture to make a
comment about a subject. You may choose any example of satire that you wish: The Colbert Report, Saturday Night Live,
The Onion, the Daily Show, etc... The essay should include a summary of the episode or text, an explanation of teh main
criticism, and discussion of at least one of the three rhetorical techniques explored in your lessons verbal irony,
understatement, and/or false premises. You may also address the use of exaggeration if it is evident in the selected episode
