Write a narrative of one to two paragraphs retelling a scene from The Fellowship of the Ring. Describe Bilbo’s disappearance at the end of his speech from the perspective of a guest at the party.

He is obsessed with the ring, like many others before him, he did not like the party or the people that much and thought about his ring which is why he often used it when he wanted to leave.

Considering that everyone knew Bilbo and was accustomed to his wild stories of adventuring, they tend to believed that it was just another one of Bilbo's tricks, even though it was a bit awkward for them that he disappeared in such a manner.

The feast itself wasn't a problem, it's more-so the after-dinner speech that I dreaded to hear. It isn't because I hate Bilbo or anything like that, it is more so now long he can take with the speeches; It feels like as if they end up becoming lengthy tales of absurd adventures. Along with that, I'm a rather impatient, young fellow; I'd rather grab my horn and play a giddy tune with my friends. 

In the time I spent feeling sorry for myself, the speech had actually started. I wasn't paying to much attention to it all, fiddling with my horn the whole time. My ears caught wind of the the last words Bilbo was saying, "I hope you are all enjoying yourselves as much as I am." I heard people cheering yes towards him, and he looked to be finished. I saw Master Everard Took and Miss Melilot Brandybuck get up on a table with bells in their hands, and then begin to dance. Seeing this, I thought it was fitting to get out my horn and go near the crowd and play along. However, as I was about to press my lips and blow into my horn, Biblo snatched my horn and blew three loud hoots. "I shall not keep you long.  I have called you all together for a Purpose." Though the crowd was almost silent after this, I was more frustrated with him because he stole my horn. He went on and on about these 'three purposes', all of which I could care less about. While he was speaking, I was trying to snatch my horn back from his grasp. The issue I faced was that a bunch of people moved in front of me, so I had to find a way to sneak through them. 

After pushing and prodding my way through the hoard of people, I finally got close enough to him. As I reach for my horn again, I heard him say, "thirdly and finally, he said, I wish to make an ANNOUNCEMENT. . I regret to announce that — though, as I said, eleventy-one years is far too short a time to spend among you — this is the END. I am going. I am leaving NOW. GOOD-BYE!" As he disappeared without a trace. The crowd was shocked, but I was just happy that when he disappeared, he didn't take my horn with him.
