Benjamin Franklin, by Eduardo Mata and a Shocking and stormy night, by Prentice Newton. Eduardo's text is informational. The text Benjamin Franklin is about to tell us how Benjamin knew that lighting was electricity. While Prentice's text is to entertain the reader's it shows how a character saw one of his neighbors out at night while there was a thunderstorm and he was flying a kite. Eduardo used third point of view, While Prentice Newton used first point of view and the tone he used was frightening, shocked. their word choice was different. Eduardo uses exiting words to grab the reader's attention, whereas Prentice Newton uses interesting, and similes, for example, when the character said: "It glowed as if on fire". The two texts make interesting events they are kind of the same because they both talked about the kites getting electrocuted.
