The American dream: A happy way of living that is thought of by many Americans as something that can be achieved by anyone in the U.S. especially by working hard and becoming successful. - Merriam Webster’s Dictionary

Do we all get to grow older and have our chosen career along with a great home and no worries? Of course not. We’re blinded by the movies and exposed publicity of celebrities who roam the world's upper classed streets. There are so many people striving for that “American Dream” including immigrants who travel here for that dream but only find countless documents and discrimination just to be named a U.S. citizen. It could be hard to reach that dream after finishing college just to have piles of student loans and trouble finding spots open for your ideal job.

I don't believe that the american dream is something meant to become a reality for everyone. Even though it can be achievable it's nearly impossible for the lower class people. How can you expect people that is struggling with the everyday funds of life to be able to pay their way through college. We live in a country that revolves around money so not everyone is setup with the early success that others receive. How can everyone achieve this dream when poverty is such a big factor. Even though the American dream is thought of as a nice suburban neighborhood with a spouse and children, the American Dream can have multiple definitions.

The American dream can be Living happily with family without the violent sounds of shootings and bombings outside your window. The American Dream can be the freedom of practicing your religion publicly or privately. To some the American Dream can be just having a place to call home. You don't have to be rich to live this dream.

The American Dream may seem nearly impossible for some citizens but it really just depends on your very own definition of The American Dream. You may look up The definition of the American Dream and receive an answer, but there is not just one definition for this phrase; There are many
