She sees that romeo drank poison, and she kisses him to try to poison herself. She then hears the watch, and takes Romeo's dagger and stabs herself. The Prince arrives at the scene shortly before the Capulets and Montagues. Their parents are devastated when they hear the news. Montague reveals that his wife also died because she was upset about Romeo's death. Friar Lawrence explained what happened, and it is confirmed by Balthasar. The two families end their long-standing feud, and the Prince says that Verona paid a high price.
