Foolishness  - this is earned him the hatred of young bull; He moves his herd away.  Cleverness:  he wants to see magic to grow the trees to keep the buffalo away..  Coyote is selfish and has disrespect for others.  This causes him to almost lose his own life.  Greed causes the death of another.  They use tricks, magic, and some violence.  A folktale would focus more on social values; the trickster tale has deceit and is willing to harm or even kill.
