Analyzing an Argument This activity will help you meet this educational goal: You will self-select an argumentative text to read, analyze, and discuss. Directions Read the instructions for this self-checked activity. Type in your response to each question and check your answers. At the end of the activity, write a brief evaluation of your work. Activity You’ve learned about the structure and characteristics of arguments, the rhetorical situation, and how to determine the key ideas and issues addressed in argumentative documents. Now, you’ll use what you’ve learned to analyze and discuss an argumentative text of your choice.
