okay so essentially “Summer in a Day” is about a girl that is depressed about not being able to see/ be around the sun. The constant rain on the planet symbolizes her constant state of sadness. She used to live on earth i think but when she moved it was a big adjustment that she couldn't handle, and because of this the other kids her age made fun of her. The one day every fifteen years i think (idk i just know its a rly long time) the sun comes out, the other kids legit lock her in a closet so the brief time the sun is out she can't even see it. the kids finally experience what she experienced back on earth, and understand. once the rain comes back and they have to go back inside, the kids remember about the girl and get very solemn, as they are able to sympathize with her situation and feel bad that she wasn't able to see the sun.
