Eva couldn't wait to board the beautiful ship. The Titanic was the biggest fanciest ship in the world!
She couldn't believe her family's good fortune in purchasing second-class tickets for their journey
to America Her father, a businessman, had some new opportunities in America and decided to
bring Eva, her mother, and her baby brother with him for holiday. As they boarded the new,
gleaming vessel, Eva watched all the people boarding Crew members stored the luggage of every
passenger, including a new motor car, while passengers waved goodbye to family and friends on
the docis, knowing would be months before they would see one another. Perhaps they could
send a wireless telegraph once out at sea Eva was amazed that so many people could fit on this
new, uninkable ship and thought what an exciting adventure this was going to be!
Four days later, Era lay awaie in her bed thinking about the exciting trip so far and wondering
what else would happen before doccing in New York. She had gone for a dip in the Titanic's
Swimming pool - what a thrill to go swimming on a ship in the middle of the ocean! She had tried
the new electric camel in the gymnasium, the new exercise machine everyone was talking about
She had eaten so much food in the beautiful second-class dining room that she thought she might
pop Second class on the Titanic was like first class on any other ship, and Eva was enthralled with
the polished silver, perfect china and elaborate menus with course after course of delicious food.
She had even gotten to take a special tour of the bridge with one of the crew members and meet
