Fate should not be blamed for Macbeth's downfall. It is his excessive ambition that
prompts him to make the choices he does, and it is these choices that ultimately
leads to his downfall.

Three greetings, Thane of Glamis, Thane of Cawdor and King.

Macbeth chooses to kill Duncan, to have Banquo murdered, murders
Macduff's innocent family.
