Odysseus Vs Cyclops

The massive Cyclops name is Polyphemus. He is one of the many children of Poseidon. He lives in a cave on an island with other Cyclops. He has a lot of sheep, goats, cattle. There was a Prophecy that one day a man named Odysseus would one day blind Polyphemus.

The man that blinded Polyphemus was Odysseus. He was born on Itaca. He was a king son of Laertes. He fought in the battle of Troy and traveled across the sea on epic journeys. In the end he stayed home and chose peace.

In the story Odysseus and his men set up a campsite on a new island. On the Island there was an abandoned cave. They found cheese and lamb in the cave. They crewmates wanted to steal and leave with the cheese. But Odysseus wanted to meet the owner of the cave.

When the owner of the cave came back Odysseus and his men were trapped in a cave with a Cyclops. When the Cyclops saw the men in his cave he started eating the men. Then Odysseus got the cyclops drunk and blinded him when he fell to sleep. Then when the Cyclops woke up to the pain of his eye being stabbed he opened the cave door. Then Odysseus and his men hid under the sheep so they can pass by the Cyclops without him knowing.

The Mysterious Witch

The name of the mysterious witch is Circe. She is actually the goddess nature. She is the daughter of Helios the sun God and Perse the ocean nymph. Circe lives in a house in the woods with a lot of animals. She helps and takes care of the animals that live in the woods.

Circe thinks that all men are pigs, so when men come onto her land she turns them into pigs. But she has had three lovers and one of them was Odysseus. Odysseus stayed on the island with Circe as her lover for one year before he continued his Journey. They had three kids named Telegonus, Agrius, and Latinus. Circe plays a smaller part in few other myths: she purifies Jason and Medea from a murder, and she transforms PIcus and Scylla into a woodpecker and monster respectively.
