Hello my name is (whatever you name is). I applied for he college scholarship for (whatever you want to major in). I recently go the acceptance letter in the mail which I am quite grateful for, thank you. College is very important to me and so is my mother. My mother di*d 3 years ago on this day. I'd like to believe shes looking down on me right now writing this essay. She always loved to make me laugh and always told me to keep up with my studies. She never went to college and neither did my father so that's why they always pushed me so hard to get a good education. When my mom died my dad and I's relationship was in a rough patch and that's when my grades started failing and I started skipping school and doing dr*gs. But then I got caught and it was almost like my mom was there in my presence and I felt her tell me "everything's gonna be okay baby" and I felt that I let her down so I got up and quit and I go my grades together. My goal is to be a scholar and not let my mother down. My goal is to be successful at life and to make my mom proud. SO thank you for my scholarship I really appropriate it, I will see yo on campus in the fall!
