3. Paraphrase- Put the quotation in your own words. Or explain the gist of the quotation.
4. Analysis- Explain your understanding of the quotation in terms of the effect on the plot or characters; its revelation of a symbol, or any other literary term/techniques your prompt asks you to discuss. You must include a term.
5. Theme- Explain how this quotation reveals the theme. Make sure to state the theme clearly. Relate your comments back to the work being analyzed.
