Can someone write me an essay on “What does it mean to be an American”? Just needs to be a couple of paragraphs and have a thesis and conclusion doesn’t have to be longer than a page.

Explanation:

America, one of the most interestingly built countries in the world. Other countries know America for a plethora of things: economy, government, population, but nobody except for those who reside in the country truly knows what it means to be an American. To be an American means to be proud, work hard, and never give up.

Pride is often considered a weakness. We often look at those who are prideful as cocky and over the top, but when it comes to Americans, there is no such thing as too much pride. To truly be an American you can't just live in the country, you have to have pride for your homeland. You have to be grateful and excited that you live in the USA, that your forefathers fought for your freedom. That is truly the mark of an American patriot.

Hard work may just be the basis of our entire country. No ethnicity, language, or culture can define us, but hard work can. More than any other defining factor, hard work has built America from the ground. Through centuries of tears, growth, determination and blood, America has come to what it is today. Not to say that this country is perfect, but it has come farther than perhaps anyone expected in a short period of time.

The final factor that makes a true American is the idea of perseverance, or never giving up. America has created a great civilization, a great place for people to give up, but without perseverance, it couldn't be possible. In fact, if our Continental Army had given up on a hard day at Valley Forge, America maybe would not exist. Never giving up is the basis of the country in all senses.

In conclusion, to be an American means you work hard, you take pride in your country, and you never give up. These are the things that have built our country and they are the things that define us as American people.
