Jo had waited for this moment her whole life. Years and years of hard work and countless amounts of over worked days in the office, and now shes finally arrived at the train station to leave her old life behind.She had never liked the small town life that her parents had condensed her to, but she managed to live pleasantly for 19 years in that small run-down town.It was her home but never quite felt like a home in Jo's mind. Her home was the pages of the books she had read on those late Friday nights while everyone else was going to the local high schools football games.As she stood on the train platform with her small leather suitcase and her jar full of money she had saved up, she pulled out the train ticket that she had purchased just two short hours ago and stared at it with such content. She loved her life but this train ticket was the passage to her new future. Her new life. Maybe she would find the guy she had always read about in her books or maybe would find the home of her dreams, but that all didn't matter in the moment. She was free. Free of the captivity that town put her in. Free of the worries of her old life. She finally came back to reality and the train conductor was letting passengers on the train, in order of the line they formed when they first arrived to the station. Jo seemed to walk in slow motion and with each step a memory formed in her head of those hard times she had faced, but with each hard time came success and happiness. She handed her ticket to the conductor and with the ticket came her old life. She wasn't ending her old life, but was starting a new one. She was completely content.
