I WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST, LIKE AND COMMENT! Is it correct to put “(joke intended)” when I want to clarify that the person say something jokingly?

I don’t want to put “just kidding” because I didn’t say it. A third person did, I’m just writing the conversation and wanted to clarify he was joking.
